What is Ask Dr. Q?


'Ask Dr. Q' was introduced by Sickle Cell 101 as a means of providing the valuable information to inquiring sickle cell patients and those directly affected by the disorder. 'Ask Dr. Q' was created to serve as a resource for those who 1.) have questions and do not have access to vital sickle cell and thalassemia information 2.) do not have access to a sickle cell and thalassemia expert physician or 3.) are simply looking to learn more about these disorders.

Who is Dr. Q?


Dr. Keith Quirolo is an expert in sickle cell disease and thalassemia who was formally the Director of the Pediatric Sickle Cell Program and the Apheresis Program at UCSF Benioff’s Children’s Hospital Oakland. Read more
